2026 Winner of The Arts Society Henley (TASH) Year 12 & 13 Art Competition
She explains, "My family is very important to me and I wanted to show this through my artwork. I chose to present the bond between my Mum and Nan through woven paper to convey the power of their mother-daughter relationship. I found this provided a depiction of their connection, as much of their faces overlapped and became interconnected. This shows how elements of each of their personalities, mannerisms and appearances reveal themselves in each other. Weaving together the two portraits highlights the influence that parents have on their children as the overlapping and interspersing of the two portraits mirrors people’s relationships, especially in mothers and daughters, which I think is extremely beautiful."
