TASH AGM Report by Robert Gurney: The 2026 AGM, April 2026

The Arts Society Henley (TASH) held its AGM on16th April 2026 for its 2024/25 Annual Report and Accounts.

The year actually ended at the end of September 2025, but we had to appoint a new Financial Examiner, and they needed time to examine the accounts.

Our President, John Benjamin, opened proceedings with a characteristic enthusiastic speech.  Robert Gurney, our Chairman, then introduced the report, and Caroline Fox, our Treasurer, gave an overview of the accounts.

The TASH accounts are healthy, and the Financial Examiner saw no material problems with them.  The TASH expenses are increasing, and we may need to increase the subscriptions slightly to cover our costs in 2026/7.  We will decide this closer to the next financial year.

An important part of TASH's work is the educational work in schools, the community, and in prisoner rehabilitation through the Koestler Trust.  The person who has been heading this is Marilyn Sturgeon, and she has now stepped down for the Committee.  Judith Stephenson-Hodges in taking over.

In a series of resolutions, we approved the accounts, and elected the Trustees and Committee for the coming year.  This includes new members, Anne Davies as Secretary and Simon Salisbury on organising holidays.
