We are a membership organisation, with Hilary Kay as our President, that connects people with the arts and with each other, creating welcoming spaces to share and explore the richness of art together.
We offer highly-rated talks on the arts and events across over 300 local Member Societies in the UK and abroad. Guests are very welcome.
We invite you to explore our website to find out more.
Whether you want to get involved by joining a local Member Society or just want to know more about belonging to The Arts Society more generally and the opportunities it brings, we welcome your interest and have different memberships to suit your needs.
By connecting people with the arts, culture, and heritage, we help individuals and communities thrive. Our educational programmes inspire young people, support lifelong learning, cultivate conservation knowledge, and create opportunities for people to learn, create, and engage together.
Our grants programmes help communities celebrate and protect the arts, heritage and cultural education — supporting inspiring projects and making the arts accessible to more people
