Welcome to The Arts Society

We are a volunteer-led membership organisation bringing people together through a shared interest in the arts. Our welcoming Societies offer opportunities to discover something new, meet like-minded people and enjoy the arts in the company of others.

We offer highly regarded talks by expert lecturers, alongside a rich programme of activities organised by more than 300 local Member Societies across the UK and abroad.

Beyond talks and events, our members can get involved in volunteering that supports the arts, heritage and local communities. Newcomers are always welcome, and guests are invited to experience what our Societies have to offer.

Our President is Hilary Kay, the internationally recognised antiques expert, author and speaker.

Explore our website to discover your local Society, find an event or learn more about becoming part of our community.

Learning with The Arts Society

By connecting people with the arts, culture, and heritage, we help individuals and communities thrive. Our educational programmes inspire young people, support lifelong learning, cultivate conservation knowledge, and create opportunities for people to learn, create, and engage together.
